Kiwi is a fruit that originated in China and was first known as the “Chinese Gooseberry.” In the early 20th century, it was introduced to New Zealand and renamed Kiwifruit to make it easier to market internationally. Today, there are more than 60 Kiwi varieties worldwide, with the most popular being Sungold, Green, and Rubyred. Kiwi is not only loved for its unique sweet-tart flavor but is also considered a superfruit rich in vitamins and minerals.
